Full job description

Are you passionate about delivering outstanding patient service? CURA Medical Specialists is seeking a dedicated Medical Secretary & Receptionist to join our growing neurology practice.

This role suits someone organised, detail-oriented, and committed to providing excellent patient care in a professional, supportive environment.

Location & Training Requirement
Please note that the successful applicant will be required to travel to our Drummoyne clinic for training during the first 2-3 months of employment. After the initial training period, the role will be mainly based at our Kingswood clinic. You may also be required to travel to Drummoyne occasionally, such as when staff are sick or on leave.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome patients warmly in person and over the phone
  • Manage appointment bookings, patient arrivals, and front desk enquiries efficiently
  • Maintain accurate patient records and process correspondence and medical documentation
  • Liaise with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and government agencies as required
  • Provide administrative support to doctors and clinical staff
  • Help maintain an organised, professional, and welcoming reception environment

About You

  • Previous experience as a medical secretary, receptionist, or in a similar healthcare administration role
  • Strong customer service skills and a genuine passion for helping people
  • Familiarity with medical terminology, appointment scheduling systems, and general administrative processes
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and time management skills
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a busy environment
  • A positive attitude with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with patients, colleagues, and external stakeholders
