About the role

An opportunity exists for an enthusiastic and experienced Allied Health Assistant to join our friendly, dynamic Rehab at Home Team. Rehab at Home is a 20-bed inpatient bed-substitution program that provides short-term, intensive rehabilitation to clients who have discharged early from hospital. The successful applicant will be part of a dynamic interdisciplinary team offering rehabilitation to clients with musculoskeletal, neurological, or general medical diagnoses.

Key responsibilities:

• Provision of goal- directed, interdisciplinary rehabilitation as prescribed by Allied Health Professionals (OT, PT, SP)

• Provision of rehabilitation through a mixture of modalities; centre based, home based and telehealth

• Excellent communication with the interdisciplinary team including medical and nursing

About you:

• To have experience working as an Allied Health Assistant in a multidisciplinary team

• Excellent time management and communication skills

• To quickly learn to provide integrated intervention and assistance with therapy sessions under the direction of a number of allied health professionals

• Experience or ability to quickly develop skills in delivering patient care via telehealth (Health Direct platform) and other electronic platforms
