Position Overview:

We are seeking a versatile Pathology Collector to join our team at WiSE Medical. The position focuses on ensuring that all samples are collected in compliance with health and safety regulations and accurately labeled. The ideal candidate will be a hard worker and flexible, with strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering patient-centered service.

The working hours are Monday to Saturday from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, looking for ~3 candidates for a rotating roster.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect blood, swabs, and other pathology samples from patients following established protocols and procedures.
  • Ensure patient comfort and care throughout the collection process.
  • Safely label and package samples for processing.
  • Maintain accurate records of patient information and samples collected.
  • Uphold infection control and hygiene standards at all times.
  • Provide clear communication and support to patients regarding the collection process.
  • Liaise with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and efficient service.
  • Manage the safe disposal of clinical waste and used equipment.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Valid certificate III in Pathology collection.
  • Desirable of one year’s experience in blood collection but not essential.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in processing patient information.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and privacy.
