Full job description
An exciting opportunity exists for some Full-Time/Part-Time Permanent Clinical Assistants within the Heidelberg/Warringal region.
You will be aiding patients attending for medical imaging procedures, working flexibly from Monday - Friday between 6.00am – 10.00pm.
Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment are essential for success in this role. A background in Allied Health or an interest within is preferable but not essential.
Full training will be provided
Key accountabilities include:
- Perform and assist with patient movement in the Medical Imaging service area, and the hospital when clinically required
- Assist with general clinic tasks and other patients of the department in any manner as directed by technical/clerical/medical staff
- Ensure Workplace Health and Safety legislation is complied with
- Providing excellent customer service and patient care
- Maintaining strong working relationships with patients, referrers, staff and managers Opportunities to learn to cannulate and/or perform Dexa Scans
What we're looking for:
- Basic ability to handle patient care with compassion and tact, ensuring the patients privacy, dignity and confidentiality is maintained
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to interact amiably and effectively with both the public and colleagues
- Ability to function effectively as part of a diagnostic health team
- Good time management and organisational skills Ability to meet relevant VIC Health workplace requirements, including Occupational Assessment, Screening & Vaccination Against Specified Infectious Diseases
