WHAT ARE WE OFFERING?
The Medical Records Officer is responsible for delivering an efficient and accurate medical records service, including the creation, retrieval, management, scanning and secure storage of patient information. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will support timely access to records for clinical teams and external providers, while contributing to daily workflow coordination and assisting with training and support of team members as required.

- Do you have experience using patient information systems, databases, and IT systems to deliver accurate and efficient administrative support?
- Are you highly organised with the ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently with minimal supervision?

HOW WILL YOU CONTRIBUTE?
As the Medical Records Officer, you will:
- Deliver end‑to‑end client records services, including accurate registration, creation, updating, and data quality management of community patient files, resolving duplicate records.
- Manage the full records lifecycle for rural and remote services, including telepsychiatry data entry, file movement, archiving, culling, and compliant disposal.
- Coordinate and support records operations by liaising with internal teams and external agencies, supervising records activities, and improving procedures.
- Provide efficient administrative support to Rural & Remote teams, including correspondence management, stock control, and day‑to‑day service support.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and data integrity through secure handling, tracking, scanning, and maintenance of electronic and physical medical records.
- Contribute to quality, compliance, and capability by supporting policy development, continuous improvement, and on‑the‑job training for staff.
