About the Role:
The Northern Adelaide Local Health Network (NALHN) is seeking skilled and motivated Medical Practitioners (PGY2+) to join our dedicated Emergency Department team.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a high‑performing clinical environment where patient‑centred care is delivered at pace, supported by advanced technology and strong multidisciplinary collaboration. Our Emergency Departments provide critical services to the community and are recognised for their commitment to clinical excellence, innovation and continuous improvement.
In this role, you will play a central part in assessing, managing and treating patients requiring urgent and emergency care. Working closely with senior clinicians, nursing staff and allied health professionals, you will contribute to safe, efficient and coordinated patient journeys while maintaining a strong focus on quality outcomes.
As you progress in the role, you will be supported to further develop your clinical skills and broaden your experience in a challenging and rewarding setting. You will work with a diverse patient population, utilise state‑of‑the‑art facilities, and actively participate in service development initiatives that enhance emergency care delivery across the network.
As per the SA Health Salaried Medical Officers Enterprise Agreement 2025, the total term of employment with SA Health will be 3 years. Rotations following the initial 12 month allocation as Medical Practitioner will be determined in line with your training and SA Health’s requirements. This may include transfer to other SA Health locations to perform work appropriate to classification, skills and capabilities.
To be eligible for this position, you must hold a Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent, registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with General Registration.
The Total Indicative Remuneration figure is calculated taking into account base salary, leave loading and superannuation as well as managerial allowances, professional development or any other allowances where appropriate.
About You:
Success in this role requires commitment and strong clinical judgement, excellent communication skills, and the ability to perform effectively in high‑pressure situations. You value teamwork, demonstrate adaptability, and are motivated by the opportunity to deliver high‑quality emergency care within a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.
You will be joining a dynamic and expanding Local Health Network that is committed to delivering contemporary, innovative and high‑quality health services within modern facilities.
Apply now and take the next step in your medical career with NALHN - where your expertise will make a meaningful difference to the health and wellbeing of our community.
