Full job description

We’re a welcoming, patient-focused dental practice looking for a warm and organised Receptionist to be the face of our front desk. No dental background required, just a genuine love of people, strong admin skills, and a great phone manner.

Why join us?

We’re a small, supportive team where your personality matters as much as your skills. We’re upfront, we communicate honestly, and we want you to grow with us, including into a leadership role as the practice expands. There’s also an employee discount and a mentoring program to support your development from day one.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Welcoming patients and creating a positive first impression,
  • Managing appointments, patient records and correspondence via practice management software,
  • Handling payments, EFTPOS transactions and accounts reconciliation,
  • Processing HICAPS health fund claims,
  • Answering calls and handling patient enquiries with care and professionalism,
  • Supporting smooth day-to-day operations across the front office.

What we’re looking for:

  • At least 1 year in a customer-facing or admin role (dental experience a bonus, not a must),
  • Confident communicator, in person and on the phone,
  • Comfortable with computers and quick to pick up new software,
  • Patient, empathetic, and especially good with older patients,
  • Someone who multitasks well and stays calm and positive in a busy environment,
  • Hold Australian working rights.

We are conveniently located close to public transport.

Send your resume and a short cover letter telling us a bit about yourself and why this role appeals to you.

Pay: $27.00 – $33.00 per hour

Application Question(s):

  • Would you describe yourself as professional, welcoming, and confident when interacting with patients both in person and over the phone? Please provide three qualities that demonstrate this?

Experience:

  • Customer service: 1 year (Required)

Work Location: In person
