About the role

Full time and part time opportunities exist for individuals who are self-motivated, customer focussed and possess well-developed communication skills to join our reception team in Medical Imaging. As the first point of contact for patients, we are seeking an experienced Medical Imaging Receptionist to support patient workflows with empathy and efficiency. The Medical Imaging Receptionist will undertake a range of examination scheduling, patient and healthcare professional queries, process billing, maintain accurate data entry and general administrative tasks. The role includes participation in a rotating roster including days, evenings, weekends and on-call duties.

About you

To be successful in this role you will possess:

Excellent customer service skills
Well-developed communication skills both face to face and over the telephone
High attention to detail
Previous experience within the healthcare industry (desirable)
Experience/knowledge in Medical Imaging (desirable)
Experience in Radiology Information System (RIS) (desirable)
Ability to work autonomously as well as within a diverse team
Flexibility and adaptability to manage pressure within a changing work environment
Sound organisational and prioritisation skills
Highly proficient data entry skills
General computer literacy with standard Microsoft programs knowledge
Ability to follow instruction and problem solve

Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.

Those that are offered and/or start between January and April do not require an up to date vaccination for Influenza to progress providing they are aware of its requirement later in the year. Those that are offered and/or start between May and December require the up to date Influenza vaccination prior to offer.
