Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and organised Medical Records Clerk to join our dedicated Health Information Service team. This role is crucial in assisting with all activities related to maintaining our health information records in an organised and efficient manner, upholding the highest standards of patient privacy and data integrity.

Mondays are essential, and the other day can be either Thursday or Friday.

Key Responsibilities:

• Compile medical records for discharged patients as required.
• Seek, locate, and obtain medical records accurately and efficiently when requested.
• Accurately track the movement of medical records in and out of the department.
• Perform archiving, merging, and culling of medical records in a timely and systematic manner.
• File medical records and correspondence accurately and promptly.
• Maintain a high level of confidentiality and privacy in accordance with Ramsay Health Care policies.
• Comply with all relevant department policies and procedures.
• Maintain a systemic and organised filing system to ensure easy retrieval.
• Assist with the preparation for offsite scanning projects.
• Ensure that deadlines for all medical records requests are met.
• Perform other duties as directed by the Health Information Service Manager.

Additional Information

• Must provide or complete a National Police Check conducted within the previous 12 months.
