About the role
As a Medical Scientist with SA Pathology, you’ll play an important role in delivering high-quality diagnostic services that support patient care across South Australia. Using your scientific and technical expertise, you’ll perform a range of routine diagnostic testing, review results for analytical validity and provide interpretation where appropriate. You’ll work closely with colleagues across SA Pathology, prioritising clinical workloads to deliver accurate results within required turnaround times.
You’ll also contribute to the ongoing development of laboratory services by supporting new methods, procedures, equipment and technologies. Building strong relationships will be key, as you’ll liaise with clinicians, clients, requestors, other pathology providers and suppliers to respond to enquiries and provide test-related information. With a focus on quality, teamwork and continuous improvement, you’ll help maintain efficient laboratory workflows while contributing to the safe, effective delivery of pathology services.
About You
We’re looking for a skilled and proactive Medical Scientist who brings sound scientific knowledge, technical capability and a commitment to delivering accurate, high-quality pathology results.
Hold a relevant pathology qualification that meets NPAAC requirements
Apply scientific and technical skills to perform diagnostic laboratory testing
Work effectively in a team, prioritise workloads and meet daily testing targets
Communicate confidently, solve problems and show initiative when identifying issues or risks
