About the role
Join our multidisciplinary metropolitan laboratory as a Medical Scientist, where you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality diagnostic services while supporting the day-to-day leadership of the laboratory. As a medical scientist, grade 2 you'll perform and supervise a broad range of routine diagnostic testing across haematology, chemistry and transfusion, applying your scientific expertise to analyse and report results that support outstanding patient care. You'll also participate in an after-hours roster and contribute to the smooth operation of general laboratory and clerical services.
This is an exciting opportunity to step into a leadership role. As the 2IC, you'll act as the Laboratory Manager during periods of leave, providing supervision, guidance and operational oversight to ensure the laboratory continues to run efficiently. Working alongside an experienced team, you'll also contribute to the introduction of new techniques and methodologies, making this an ideal opportunity for a motivated scientist who is ready to progress in their career.

You are a motivated and detail-focused Medical Scientist who enjoys working as part of a collaborative team and is committed to delivering accurate, high-quality diagnostic services.
Statewide Clinical Support Services (SCSS) is a unique public healthcare organisation that serves health consumers and provides specialist clinical services to the health system in South Australia. SCSS encompasses BreastScreen SA, SA Dental, SA Medical Imaging, SA Pathology, and SA Pharmacy. - Bachelor of Science or Medical Laboratory Science qualification (or equivalent)
- Experience performing laboratory testing using analytical equipment and laboratory systems

- Ability to work independently, show initiative and contribute positively to a multidisciplinary team
