Full job description
What your day could look like
As a Medical Records Administrator, you'll help ensure patients and healthcare teams have access to the information they need, when they need it. Working as part of a supportive team, you'll contribute to smooth patient journeys and high-quality care across the health service.
Every day, you'll contribute by:
Keeping patient records accurate, accessible and available to support timely care.
Working with clinical and administrative teams to coordinate information across services.
Managing urgent and routine requests while maintaining quality and efficiency.
Providing professional customer service and protecting confidential information.
Let's Talk About You
You're organised, dependable and enjoy helping others. You can balance competing priorities, communicate effectively with a wide range of people, and understand the importance of accuracy in a healthcare environment. You bring compassion, integrity, dignity, innovation and courage to your work, and take pride in supporting positive outcomes for patients and colleagues.
Here's what will help you thrive in this role:
Strong administration and time-management skills.
Confidence using computer systems and Microsoft Office.
Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
A collaborative approach with a strong focus on accuracy and confidentiality.
You'll stand out from the crowd if you have knowledge of medical terminology and/or experience working with health records or healthcare information systems.
Most importantly, you'll be passionate about supporting quality healthcare through reliable information and strong teamwork.
Together, you'll help deliver efficient, patient-focused services that reflect the values of Darling Downs Health.
Why Join Darling Downs Health?
At Darling Downs Health, we care for over 300,000 people across our expansive region. No matter where you live in our region, from Taroom in the north to Texas in the south, our purpose is to ensure accessible and sustainable care. Whether you're a doctor, nurse, allied health professional, facilities team member, or administrator, you'll see your impact firsthand. Darling Downs Health is where you can step up sooner, grow faster, and help shape the future of care across our region.
Your career at Darling Downs Health also comes with meaningful rewards:
Maximise your take-home pay with salary packaging and generous leave entitlements
Enjoy flexible work arrangements that support balance and variety
Access professional development funding, study leave and clear career pathways
Be part of a diverse and inclusive culture that values learning and collaboration.
