As a Triage Nurse in our Virtual Health team, you’ll provide clinical advice and support to individuals across Australia. You’ll assess their needs, offer health information, and refer them to appropriate providers—all from the comfort of your home.

Hours and FTE Requirements
- Work from anywhere in Australia, including regional and rural areas
- Part-time (22.5 hrs) to full-time (37.5 hrs) fixed-term contract until 30 June 2027, with potential for extension
- Due to the nature of workload patterns and to align our staffing with consumer demand, our roster requirements are as follows:
- You must be available to work between 7:00 AM and 3:00 AM, Monday to Sunday (including public holidays), and complete at least one Friday shift per fortnight.
- You will work on a fixed, two-week rotating roster with 60% of shifts occuring after hours.
- We are committed to supporting a healthy work-life balance. In line with Medibank and Amplar Health policy, your combined hours across all employers must not exceed 40 hours per week.
Training & Start Dates
- Comprehensive full-time paid virtual training (Monday - Friday 9:00am–5:00pm AEST, 7 days). Training will commence on your first day of employment, based on the below available start dates
- Upcoming start dates: | 5th October | 19th October 2026 | 16th November 2026
- Please note: Full availability for training is required. To ensure a smooth onboarding and training experience, we ideally ask that no planned leave is taken within the first three months of employment. However, if you do have leave already planned, please discuss it with us during your screening.
Work-from-Home Setup

- Fast and Reliable internet: minimum 50 Mbps download / 20 Mbps upload
- Ability to multitask listening, typing, and navigating online resources
- Full technology suite provided (including computer, monitors, keyboard, mouse, headset, ethernet cable)
About You
You’re a compassionate communicator with a strong clinical background and a drive to deliver exceptional service. You thrive in a virtual environment and are confident working independently.
Essential Criteria:
- Registered Nurse (Division 1) with minimum 3 years full-time clinical experience with the last 5 years (equivalent to 5300 hours total). Please ensure that you provide a CV that clearly demonstrates your area of expertise and specialisation (units/wards worked in), employment dates, and FTE, so that we can determine whether meet those minimum requirements
- Current AHPRA registration with no notations
- Experience in A&E and Triage, as well as Paediatrics, Community Care, or Acute Medical/Surgical. Please note: Aged Care experience is not sufficient for this role.
- Strong assessment skills and ability to work autonomously
- Comfortable using digital systems and multitasking in a fast-paced environment
- Availability for weekend and night shifts
Desirable:
- Experience in virtual communication (video/audio conferencing, chat)
- Previous call centre or customer service experience
- Corporate or multidisciplinary team experience
- Commitment to ongoing professional development
