About the Role

We are seeking experienced Mental Health Counsellors (Contractors) to deliver counselling services across:

  • NDIS participants (psychosocial and complex needs)
  • Private clients (self-funded counselling)
  • Community and carer support programs

This role suits professionals who can work independently, manage diverse client presentations, and maintain strong clinical and documentation standards.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide one-on-one counselling sessions
  • Support clients with mental health, trauma, stress, and behavioural challenges
  • Develop structured, goal-focused therapeutic strategies
  • Maintain accurate progress notes, reports, and incident documentation
  • Work collaboratively with families, carers, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Identify risks and follow appropriate reporting and safeguarding processes
  • Support emotional wellbeing, resilience, and independence

Minimum Qualifications (Required to Apply)

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in:
    • Counselling
    • Psychology
    • Social Work
    • Mental Health
    • Community Services (Mental Health)



Highly Regarded

  • ACA, PACFA or AASW membership
  • Experience in NDIS, private practice, or community sector
  • Strong understanding of trauma-informed and recovery-oriented practice
