We are a NATA-accredited laboratory servicing Environmental Consultants, Mines, Occupational Hygienists, Government Departments, Industry, and the general public by providing great service and quality.

About the role
We are seeking applications for a Laboratory Technician to join our modern, NATA-accredited laboratory. The role involves preparing samples for analysis and requires a versatile individual who can adapt to various tasks and work across multiple areas. This role will also be involved in driving to sites and collecting samples. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our laboratory processes.
Responsibilities
Sample Preparation & Analysis: Prepare and analyse samples, ensuring tests are conducted within the required holding time.
Quality Control: Follow all quality control protocols to maintain high standards.
Safety: Comply with laboratory safety procedures and proper PPE usage.
Documentation: Complete all documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and organised workspace through regular housekeeping.
Skills and Experiences:
About you
The ideal candidate will possess:
Exceptional attention to detail
Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
Ability to juggle competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
A proactive, 'can-do' attitude
Strong teamwork skills
A degree in Science
An interest or degree in Microbiology is essential
Previous experience in a similar role is desirable
Must have a driver's license
