Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented QC Biochemist to join our Quality Control team.

Reporting to the QC Team Leader, you will be responsible for executing routine laboratory testing and supporting activities in line with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), ensuring quality, safety, and compliance standards are consistently met.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a high-performing laboratory environment while supporting the delivery of critical quality outcomes.

This role will be based in Broadmeadows.

Please note that there are 2 roles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine analytical testing in line with approved procedures and schedules

  • Accurately record, review, and enter results into LIMS

  • Manage samples, including logging, tracking, and distribution

  • Ensure compliance with GMP, GDP, and quality standards

  • Identify and escalate OOS results, deviations, and quality issues

  • Maintain laboratory documentation, records, and SOPs

  • Support equipment maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting

  • Manage lab stock, reagents, and consumables

  • Follow safety procedures and report hazards/incidents

  • Contribute to continuous improvement and validation activities

  • Collaborate with internal teams and support training as required

Your Experience

  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant scientific discipline (e.g. Chemistry, Microbiology, Biochemistry)

  • Experience in a pharmaceutical or GMP-regulated QC laboratory

  • Strong knowledge of GMP and/or GLP

  • Experience with ELISA testing and Flow cytometry preferable

  • Experience with laboratory instrumentation and analytical testing such as manual and electronic pipettes

  • Strong attention to detail and documentation skills

  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

  • Solid communication and teamwork capabilities

  • Proficiency in Windows-based systems (LIMS experience preferred)
