Disability Support Workers - Mont Albert/Carnegie/Forest Hill

Lifestyle Centred Services is an NDIS and TAC registered provider of supports for people with disability and mental health support needs throughout Victoria, we provide services for people of all ages and backgrounds with a wide range of abilities and support needs.

About the Role:

This role is perfect for someone with a person-centred approach who has a genuine passion for improving the quality of life for those with physical or intellectual disabilities, who enjoys a challenge and enjoys the rewarding feeling of making a difference in someone’s life.

We are seeking experienced Disability Support Workers for an adult requiring support within the home involving In Home Care , Personal Care and Community Access.

Shifts available: Times and Days to be determined

Positions may be available in surrounding suburbs.

Pay rate Minimum starting rate is $43.33 per hour, plus allowances for evenings, weekends and public holidays (based on qualifications and experience).

Skills and Experience:

Desirable Experience:

  • Seizure Management Experience
  • Personal Care Experience
  • High Care Experience

Experience and/or qualifications in Individual Support, Disability Support, Aged Care or equivalent (students currently studying in these areas, as well as Nursing, Physiotherapy, OT and Paramedicine also encouraged to apply)

  • Enthusiastic, self-motivated, and driven.
  • Reliable, kind, and caring nature, with good work ethics
  • Well-presented and a professional approach
  • Active with average physical fitness level
  • Positively engage, interact, and work with people who have complex needs.
  • Ability to apply sensitivity, empathy, cultural awareness, and an open-minded approach to personal matters.

Requirements:

  • Current resume and 2 professional referees
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check or willingness to obtain prior to commencement of employment.
  • Current driver license and own reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance
  • Current First Aid (HLTAID011/HLTAID003) & CPR (HLTAID009/HLTAID001)
