We are seeking a compassionate, reliable and experienced Palliative Carer to join our team, providing personalised, high-quality support to a client receiving palliative care in the comfort and familiarity of their own home.

This is a meaningful opportunity for a carer who understands the importance of dignity, comfort and compassion when supporting someone through end-of-life care. You will play an important role in helping the client maintain their comfort, quality of life and sense of dignity, while providing reassurance and practical support to their family.

About the role

As a Palliative Care Carer, you will provide compassionate in-home support to clients living with life-limiting conditions. Depending on individual care needs, your responsibilities may include:

  • Providing personal care and assistance with daily living
  • Supporting comfort, dignity and independence
  • Assisting with mobility, positioning and other care needs
  • Providing companionship and emotional support
  • Supporting families and maintaining a calm, respectful environment
  • Assisting with meal preparation, light domestic tasks and other practical needs
  • Following individualised care plans and communicating changes in a timely manner
  • Working collaboratively with families, healthcare professionals and the Right at Home team

Previous palliative care experience is highly desirable. Experience supporting clients with complex care needs, dementia, chronic illness or end-of-life care will also be highly regarded.
