Role
The Level 1 IT Support Technician is the first point of contact for day-to-day technical support across the College for students, keeping student devices, software and school platforms running reliably. Working within the College's IT team, the technician logs, triages and resolves routine support requests, and escalates more complex or infrastructure-level issues to the College's IT Manager.
Responsibilities
- Attend to day-to-day IT support requests from students; escalate complex or infrastructure issues as required.
- Provide first-level support and administration for Compass and other school platforms, account setup, and basic configuration.
- Provide support with printers and photocopiers
- Set up, image, deploy and maintain staff and student devices using Intune (Windows and, where applicable, Apple), including BYOD support.
- Support Microsoft 365 accounts and passwords, printing (PaperCut), classroom AV/projectors, and general peripheral issues.
- Assist with user-level network connectivity troubleshooting.
- Maintain accurate asset and support records in the College's documentation/asset systems.
- Contribute to a positive, service-oriented, and child-safe IT team.
- Coordination of warranty/insurance repairs for students¿ devices through our service partner.
- Assist in the coordination of Teacher Notebook Program
- Undertake other duties relevant to the classification level as requested by the IT Manager
