About the Role:

The Payroll Operations Lead will facilitate the review and optimisation of payroll processes/systems and work closely with cross-functional internal and external stakeholders to drive standardisation of our national payroll system. This role will collaborate with the payroll teams and cross functional internal and external stakeholders, among others, to prioritise process improvement initiatives and deliver an efficient and streamlined payroll function that is compliant with legislation, policies, and business expectations.

About the Team:

The Finance team supports both the divisional and organisational financial requirements. The team consists of positions that manage the financial operations across the business divisions considering business performance, business strategy, investments, commercial management, procurement and payroll

About You:

  • Ideally above 10 years’ experience working within a payroll function
  • Degree qualified in either finance, accounting, HR Management, MBA or equivalent
  • Wide-ranging knowledge of broad payroll functions, procedures, and processes
  • Knowledge and experience in interpreting procedures and regulations affecting payroll
  • Demonstrated understanding of payroll functions
  • Strong knowledge of payroll compliance requirements and risks and experience in effectively implementing payroll controls
  • Executive level communication skills and credibility with ability to quickly earn the confidence to effectively influence a wide range of stakeholders including the Executive leadership Team and other key stakeholder
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure that deliverables are met with a high degree of accuracy
  • Demonstrate an understanding and appreciation of BaptistCare’s Christian identity and promote the organisation’s values through interactions at work
  • Knowledge of the aged care sector and /or health related field, understanding of the Not-for-Profit sector is an advantage
