The Future Generation Joint Venture brings together the combined engineering experience and expertise of WeBuild, Clough and Lane and has been selected to design construct Snowy 2.0. This project is based within the Snowy Mountains in NSW and will deliver one of the largest pumped hydro schemes in the world.

Snowy 2.0 is the next chapter in the Snowy Scheme's history. It is the largest committed renewable energy project in Australia and will provide on-demand energy and large-scale storage for many generations to come. This Iconic Project has and will continue to create its own legacy in Australian history.

Position Purpose

The Workshop Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all workshop maintenance activities for mobile plant and supporting equipment. This role ensures safe, efficient, and compliant workshop operations while leading a team of maintenance personnel. The Supervisor drives continuous improvement in maintenance standards, operational readiness, workforce capability, and safety culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain a safe system of work by promoting, demonstrating, and enforcing safe work practices for all workshop tasks.
  • Monitor and improve maintenance processes to meet operational demands.
  • Prioritise equipment and personnel to maximise efficiency and machine availability.
  • Assist engineers with weekly planning and scheduling of maintenance activities.
  • Conduct periodic site visits to monitor equipment performance and address operator concerns.
  • Support maintenance strategy development and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide technical guidance and coaching to workshop personnel.
  • Oversee contractor activities ensuring compliance with safety and scope requirements.
  • Manage parts usage and procurement recommendations.
  • Maintain workshop facilities and capital assets such as compressors and gantries.
  • Oversee weekly asset downtime reviews and ensure effective handovers.
  • Lead and manage workforce performance, training, and succession planning.

Person Specification

Desired Competencies

  • Experience in workshop or mobile maintenance supervision.
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance processes, safety systems, and compliance.
  • Ability to interpret schedules, technical documents, and OEM standards.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Familiarity with safety standards and maintenance management systems.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Certificate III or IV in a mechanical trade (or equivalent).
  • Experience in workshop or plant maintenance supervision.
  • Understanding of maintenance management software.
  • HR/HC licence, forklift licence, or high‑risk licences (preferred).
  • White Card and relevant site certifications.
