Front of House / Server - Paulie's Pizza, Darlinghurst

Casual | Fri–Sun | 16-20 hrs/week to start, more for the right person

About Paulie's

Paulie's Pizza is Darlinghurst's new local NY-style slice shop, 90 Oxford Street. Every pie starts with a 24-hour naturally fermented sourdough, built on a 22-year-old organic starter, hand-stretched and cut into jumbo slices. Real ingredients, no shortcuts. Eat like a New Yorker, right here in Sydney.

We're a small, energetic team who care about good food and good service - and we're just getting started.

The role

You'll be the face of Paulie's -taking orders, finishing off our handmade pizzas (heating slices to order, keeping them hot and crisp), and making sure every customer has a great experience from the second they walk in.

What you'll be doing:

  • Taking orders at the counter, friendly and quick
  • Heating and finishing pizza to order
  • Keeping the front of house clean, stocked and running smoothly
  • Chatting with customers -regulars and first-timers alike
  • Working as part of a small, hands-on team

Who you are

  • Friendly, chatty, genuinely likes talking to people
  • Cares about good food and good service - not just going through the motions
  • Reliable and up for a fast-paced shift
  • Can work late nights - we are open till midnight Thurs, Fri & Sat ights
  • School leavers welcome - this is a great first job!
  • Bonus points if you already have your RSA - we'll be serving beer and wine soon and RSA holders will get first shot at those shifts

The details

This is a casual position, currently rostered Friday to Sunday, around 16 hours a week. There's real room to grow - if you're keen and capable, more hours and more responsibility follow.
