We are currently recruiting Paediatric Registrars to join healthcare services across Australia.
This is an excellent opportunity to work within well-supported paediatric departments, managing a wide range of acute and general paediatric conditions while contributing to high-quality, family-centred care.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, and manage paediatric patients across inpatient, outpatient, and emergency settings.
- Manage acute paediatric presentations with appropriate escalation to consultants when required.
- Perform clinical procedures relevant to paediatric care.
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including nursing staff and allied health professionals.
- Communicate effectively with children, families, and caregivers to support holistic care.
- Participate in ward rounds, clinical handovers, and documentation.
- Contribute to teaching and supervision of junior staff where appropriate.
Person Specification
Qualifications & Registration
Essential
- MBBS or equivalent medical qualification
- Eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA)
- Eligible via Competent Authority Pathway (UK/Ireland)
Experience
Essential
- Experience at Registrar level in Paediatrics
- Experience managing acute paediatric cases
- Experience within the NHS or equivalent healthcare system
- Minimum 1 year of NHS experience
Skills & Competencies
- Strong clinical skills in paediatric assessment and management
- Excellent communication with children and families
- Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams
- Compassionate and patient-centred approach
