About the role

Bring extraordinary real-life stories to one of Australia’s most recognisable weekly brands!

As Content Producer for that’s life!, you’ll uncover, chase and write compelling first-person features that surprise, entertain and connect with audiences across print and digital platforms.

Working closely with the Features Editor and the wider editorial team, you’ll help shape each issue through original story ideas, strong interviews and meticulously researched content while extending the brand’s reach across social media, web and EDM.

Duties

  • Pitch and chase unique, first person, real-life feature ideas and engaging coverlines for each issue.
  • Research, source, interview and write compelling real-life stories to deadline.
  • Build trusted relationships with case studies and publicists.
  • Write copy, source and fact-check stories, ensuring content is accurate, legally sound and aligned with the that’s life! brand.
  • Contribute content across social media, web and EDM to grow audience reach and brand awareness.

About you

We’re looking for someone who brings:

  • Strong chasing, interviewing and storytelling skills, ideally gained within a magazine, newspaper, website or related media environment.
  • A sharp editorial instinct and the ability to identify stories that will resonate with that’s life! audiences.
  • Excellent attention to detail, including diligent research, fact-checking and an understanding of content accuracy.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities, work calmly under pressure and consistently meet tight deadlines.
  • Confidence using social media for brand storytelling; WordPress, video editing or knowledge of media law and TGA guidelines would be an advantage.
