We're recruiting for an established business based in Mitcham that is looking for a capable Bookkeeper to support their Accountant on a temporary basis, working 4 hours a day, Monday - Friday.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll take care of the day-to-day accounts work that keeps the business running smoothly, including:

• Accounts Payable and supplier invoice processing
• Accounts Receivable and customer invoicing
• Progress and milestone invoicing
• Bank and account reconciliations
• Xero data entry, coding and financial records
• Preparing supplier payment runs
• Customer payment allocation and follow-up
• Supplier statement reconciliations
• Supporting month-end activities
• Investigating discrepancies and resolving queries

What We're Looking For

You'll be a strong fit if you have:

• Solid Australian bookkeeping/accounts experience
• Strong hands-on Xero experience
• Experience across AP, AR and reconciliations
• Experience with construction, trade or project-based businesses
• Hands-on experience with progress claims or milestone invoicing
• A relevant bookkeeping, accounting, finance or business qualification
• Good knowledge of Australian GST and invoicing requirements
• The ability to learn new processes quickly and work independently
• A proactive approach and the confidence to ask questions when needed
• Experience with Monday.com, Odoo and Excel is a bonus
