Full job description

We are seeking a compassionate and patient support worker to assist a female NDIS participants.

The participant is wheelchair-bound and requires support with daily living, personal care and general assistance. Due to the personal care needs and participant preference, a female support worker is required.

Roster / Shifts

  • Wednesday 6:00 PM – 10:00 PM - Active support
  • Wednesday 10:00 PM – Thursday 6:00 AM - Inactive sleepover
  • Thursday 6:00 AM – 9:00 AM - Active support
  • Permanent shift every week

Duties include

  • Personal care support
  • Assistance with mobility and wheelchair transfers
  • Support with daily living activities
  • Companionship and community access where required
  • Maintaining participant dignity, comfort and safety
  • Following care plans and reporting any concerns

Requirements

  • Female support worker required
  • Fluent English communication skills
  • Experience in disability support, aged care or nursing preferred
  • Nursing background highly regarded
  • Reliable, caring and respectful attitude
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check or willingness to obtain
  • Current First Aid and CPR preferred
  • Valid driver’s licence preferred
