About the Role
We are now recruiting for Multiple Casual Packaging Operators to join our Packaging Operations team based in Rowland Flat, South Australia. In these roles you will develop and begin to apply skills in packaging and perform a range of duties, contributing to the packaging of a high-quality finished product. This is a great opportunity to be part of a dynamic and supportive workplace in the heart of South Australia's wine region.
Key Responsibilities
Support daily operations by performing a variety of tasks aligned with your training and skill level.
Learn to operate packaging machinery efficiently and safely, following manufacturer guidelines and company procedures.
Follow all safety protocols, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and maintain a clean, organised work environment.
Conduct quality checks to ensure products meet high standards and specifications.
Help maintain equipment and work areas through routine cleaning and preventative maintenance.
Get involved in continuous improvement initiatives through our 5 Stars program (training provided).
Proactively identify and report safety hazards or incidents in line with company policies.
Understand production goals and contribute to improving efficiency and reducing waste.
Adhere to all company and departmental policies and procedures.
Take part in regular team meetings, shift handovers, and communication forums.
Communicate issues, ideas, and opportunities to the Packaging Supervisor.
Participate in problem solving activities to support operational improvements.
Complete required induction training and actively pursue ongoing development opportunities.
Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and Vinarchy’s Quality, Safety, and Environmental (QSE) standards

What You'll Bring
Essential:
- Suited to working in manufacturing and production operations within a large-scale industrial environment
- Effective literacy, numeracy and communication skills
- Current Drivers Licence and ability to work shift work, weekends and complete reasonable overtime as required
- Experience in Packaging or a FMCG production environment
- Basic computer literacy (able to perform basic functions in Microsoft Outlook, Word & Excel and enter data in database applications)
- Understanding of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles
- High Risk Work Licence (Forklift)
