Psychosocial Recovery Coach

District 360 is a registered NDIS provider supporting participants to live the lives they choose. We are growing our psychosocial team and are looking for a Recovery Coach who believes in recovery, choice and genuine partnership with the people they support.

About the role

As a Psychosocial Recovery Coach, you will work alongside NDIS participants living with psychosocial disability to build capacity, resilience and independence. You will:

  • Build strong, respectful relationships with participants, their families and carers
  • Work with participants to develop, implement and review their recovery plan
  • Help participants understand and make the most of their NDIS plan
  • Coordinate supports and collaborate with mental health services, clinicians and community organisations
  • Support participants to prepare for plan reviews, including writing progress reports
  • Respond to changing needs and escalate risks in line with our policies
  • Keep accurate case notes and records in our client management system

About you

We welcome applicants with lived experience, learned experience, or both.

Essential:

  • Certificate IV in Mental Health, Certificate IV in Mental Health Peer Work, Certificate IV in Community Services or a related field, and/or at least 2 years of paid experience supporting people with mental health challenges
  • Sound understanding of recovery oriented and trauma informed practice
  • Strong communication and report writing skills
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
  • Completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Module
  • Current First Aid (HLTAID011) and CPR (HLTAID009) certificates
  • Current driver licence and reliable, insured vehicle
  • Right to work in Australia

Desirable:

  • Diploma or degree in Mental Health, Social Work, Psychology, Counselling or similar
  • Mental Health First Aid or suicide intervention training (e.g. ASIST)
  • Experience with NDIS plans and reporting
