Optimal Medication Solutions is a family-owned pharmacy based in Myaree, providing medication management services to aged care facilities and community clients within Western Australia.

We are currently seeking a Medication Delivery Specialist to join our weekend team in a Customer Service focused driving role. You will play a crucial part in ensuring the timely and safe delivery of pharmaceutical products to our valued customers, whilst also maintaining our excellent service standards.

While driving is a significant aspect of the job, the key focus will be on providing exceptional customer service and representing our company with professionalism and courtesy. You will primarily be making deliveries to aged care facilities across Perth and will need to exhibit exceptional patience and empathy. Good communication skills are a must for this role.

About the role:

• This position is primarily for a Saturday shift between 12:00pm-6:00pm
• Additional shifts between Monday and Friday may also be available
• $30 - $37 per hour
• Weekday shifts are primarily afternoon starts (1pm/2pm and 4:30pm/6pm)
• Shifts range between 3-9hrs, depending on start time
• Evening shifts finish at approximately 8pm-10pm
• Multi-drop delivery routes
• No heavy lifting required
• Comfortable, modern vehicles provided for deliveries

Key Responsibilities:

• Careful checking and loading of goods into delivery vehicle prior to commencement of run
• Safe, courteous and careful driving of a company-branded vehicle to various customer facilities
• Ensuring medication delivery/receival protocol/procedure is followed with each delivery
• Collecting prescriptions or medications from pharmacies or facilities as required
• Maintaining communication with fellow drivers and pharmacy when required during shifts
• Ensuring vehicular issues are reported and cleanliness is maintained

What we need from you:

• Must be available to work every Saturday between 12:00pm and 6:00pm
• Flexibility to work weekday mornings, afternoons, and evenings is preferred, but not essential.
• Exceptional communication, organisational and customer service skills
• Valid Australian C-class driver’s licence
• Current Police Clearance
• Previous delivery experience preferred but not essential
• Ability to work effectively in a team of drivers
• Patience, and understanding the sensitivity of delivering essential medication to aged care facilities
• COVID-19 vaccinations completed (minimum of the initial 2 vaccinations)
• Influenza Vaccine
• Fluent English speaker
• Australian Citizen or Permanent Residency
