Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary care services including diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute and chronic health conditions.
• Conduct physical examinations, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and prescribe medications.
• Offer preventive care advice, health education, and lifestyle counseling.
• Manage patient records accurately and in compliance with medical, legal, and ethical standards.
• Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement activities, and practice meetings.
• Work collaboratively with nurses, allied health professionals, and administrative staff to ensure coordinated care.
• Participate in the after-hours roster (if applicable) and ensure continuity of care for regular patients.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of clinical guidelines and medical practices through CPD and training.
• Contribute to the mentoring and supervision of registrars or medical students (if applicable).

Requirements

• Full registration (or eligibility) with the relevant medical board (e.g. AHPRA in Australia).
• Fellowship of RACGP or ACRRM (or equivalent qualifications depending on region).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to patient-focused care and continuous professional development.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Current CPR/Basic Life Support certification.

Desirable Attributes

• Interest or subspecialty in areas such as women’s health, mental health, chronic disease management, skin cancer medicine, or geriatrics.
• Experience with practice management software (Best Practice).
• Understanding of Medicare billing and incentive schemes (if applicable to your country).

Job description

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $180,000.00 – $250,000.00 per year
