The core capability requirements for this role are:
Provide a prosecution service for the area of responsibility.
Monitor the provision of briefs of evidence by police for use in summary trials and for committal proceedings to ensure the highest quality of briefs is maintained.
Liaise, consult and negotiate with members of the Queensland Police Service, the legal profession, government agencies and the community towards the establishment of effective working relationships and achievement of desired policing outcomes.
Take a lead role in the development and provision of quality legal research, argument, submissions, opinion and advice.
Manage resources in accordance with Service policy to achieve efficient operations for the area of responsibility.
Establish and model maintain high standards of performance and conduct in daily work activities.
May include coordination activities for Specialist Courts and diversionary initiatives a directed by the Superintendent.

Role Requirements

Mandatory

Admission as, eligibility for immediate admission as, or entitlement to practise as, a legal practitioner in the State of Queensland.
