Your new role:
As a Casual Registered Nurse, you'll play an important role in improving health outcomes through evidence-based, culturally responsive care while enjoying the flexibility of casual employment. You will:
Deliver high-quality primary healthcare including assessment, treatment, health promotion, chronic disease management and preventative care.
Work collaboratively with General Practitioners, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Workers, allied health professionals and multidisciplinary teams to provide holistic care.
Support culturally safe healthcare practices that empower Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to achieve improved health and wellbeing.
Contribute to quality improvement, health education and continuous professional development while helping deliver exceptional patient outcomes.
About you:
We're looking for an experienced and motivated Registered Nurse who is passionate about providing equitable healthcare and making a positive impact within Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. You will bring:
Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and demonstrated clinical experience in primary healthcare.
A commitment to delivering culturally safe, respectful and person-centred care with an understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health and health equity principles.
Excellent clinical assessment, communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.
A proactive approach to professional development, quality improvement and evidence-based practice, with a genuine passion for improving health outcomes.

Southern Queensland Centre of Excellence, Inala Indigenous Health Service
The Southern Queensland Centre of Excellence (SQCoE) for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care forms part of the Directorate and is based at Inala providing the following services:
Inala Indigenous Health Service: provides GP, nursing and allied health clinical services; Specialists clinics; and Mums and Bubs program.
Integrated Mental Health and Substance Use Services: provides culturally appropriate service for First Nations people, supporting and enhancing patient centred care.
The SQCoE works closely with Elders and community representatives and undertakes research projects with the aim to improve health outcomes.
