Amazon Web Services is seeking a dynamic and motivated Account Manager to join our Public Sector team. The territory covers a portfolio of Federal customers working on impactful projects involving AI, data, analytics, cloud and IT modernisation. You will be responsible for developing and managing a sales pipeline, delivering on account strategies, identifying and building relationships with key decision makers, working with internal stakeholders and cross functional teams to create and present compelling solutions that drive great customer outcomes. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, adaptable, articulate, passionate about creating great customer outcomes, and have an entrepreneurial spirit.

Key job responsibilities
  • Increase adoption of AWS cloud services in a defined territory
- Challenge outdated approaches to IT - Utilise internal resources to drive customer outcomes
  • Increase revenue across a portfolio of customers
  • Drive adoption in a defined set of accounts to meet or exceed revenue targets
  • Create and maintain a robust sales pipeline of opportunities in existing accounts as well as driving net new business
  • Create and articulate a compelling value propositions to customers
  • Analyze sales/metrics data from your accounts to help evolve the strategy
- Accelerate customer adoption through education and engagement - Build, develop and then execute on an account and territory strategy
  • Work with AWS partners to manage joint selling opportunities
  • Assist customers in identifying use cases for adoption of cloud services
  • Develop long-term strategic relationships with key accounts

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience is selling to Australian Federal Government Customers
  • Strong understanding of Australian Government Security and ICT Procurement
  • Experience in identifying, developing, negotiating, and closing large-scale technology deals with Australian Government Customers

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience engaging and influencing senior executives
  • 10+ years of technology sales experience
  • Experience translating business needs into technical solutions
