Psychologist Assistant jobs

HD Psychology Pty Ltd is a private psychology practice based in Haymarket, Sydney, led by Hamid Reza Dadgostar, a registered psychologist and AHPRA-approved principal supervisor with over 21 years of experience. We provide psychological assessments and reports across legal, immigration, court, WorkCover/SIRA, and university-related matters, with services offered in English, Mandarin, French, and Persian.

We're offering a placement opportunity for a Provisional Psychologist undertaking the AHPRA 5+1 internship pathway. You'll work closely with our principal supervisor to build practical experience across assessment, report writing, and client-facing work, within a supportive environment.

This is a placement, structured around your registration and university requirements, with the goal of supporting your progression toward general registration.

• Assisting with psychological assessments and report preparation under supervision
• Sitting in on client interviews and gradually taking on supported client contact
• Contributing to case discussions and clinical documentation
• Gaining exposure to legal, immigration, and court-related psychological work , very valuable area of practice

What We're Looking For

• Current provisional registration with AHPRA (or eligibility to obtain this)
• Enrolment in, or completion of, an accredited psychology program
• A genuine interest in forensic, legal, or immigration-related psychological work
• Strong written communication skills, given the report-writing component
• Reliability, professionalism, and a willingness to learn in a small-practice setting
