The Liverpool NSW Bakery is our largest site in APAC, comprising four manufacturing areas, including a fresh bun bakery, frozen bakery products, cakes and desserts.

The Opportunity:
An exciting opportunity has become available for a self-driven QA Officer to join the team based at our Liverpool NSW industrial bakery.

As the QA Officer in the night shift, you will play a key role in the development, planning, and execution of on-site quality assurance programs. This position will be responsible for ensuring compliance with ARYZTA's quality standards and specifications, relevant legislative requirements, and customer expectations, while supporting a culture of food safety, continuous improvement, and product excellence.

This is a permanent, full-time, on-site position working night shifts from Sunday to Thursday, typically between 10:00PM and 6:00AM.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure adherence to quality specifications from raw materials to finished products.
  • Conduct continuous audits of processes, control checks, and quality systems, providing daily reports of findings.
  • Maintain comprehensive and easily accessible quality assurance records.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining quality specifications and standards for raw materials, production processes, and finished products.
  • Conduct product shelf-life, evaluation, environmental testing, and laboratory testing.
  • Provide ongoing training for employees on product quality, customer satisfaction, and Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Ensure compliance with new and existing product processes and associated Quality Assurance requirements.
  • Conduct complaint and internal non-conformance investigations.
  • Uphold compliance with ARYZTA Quality Policy, Food Safety, and Product Quality Procedures.
  • Display the ARYZTA Core Values of Integrity, Ownership, Customer Focus, Creativity & Care.

About You:
We are looking for a proactive QA professional who is customer-focused, committed to accountability, and has the ability to build effective relationships at all levels.

To thrive in this role, you will bring:
  • A Degree in Food Science or a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Experience of working successfully with a Quality Management System and team environment.
  • High performer with good time management and organizational abilities.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills and ability to communicate with influence.
  • Proficient skills in the MS Office suite.
  • Previous experience in a similar Quality Assurance role within the food industry is highly desirable.
