About Us:

Anglicare Victoria is the state’s largest provider of Out of Home Care and Family Services, supporting tens of thousands of Victorians each year. We empower children, young people, and families to overcome challenges and achieve their full potential through innovative, strength-focused programs.


The Role:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Practice Leader to join our Integrated Family Services team. In this pivotal role, you will provide expert case advice, lead practice development, and support the delivery of high-quality, trauma-informed services to vulnerable children, young people, and families. You will work closely with program managers, supervise and mentor staff, and drive continuous improvement across our service streams.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert consultation and advice on complex cases, including risk assessment and management
  • Lead reflective practice groups and professional development for staff
  • Oversee and support the implementation of best practice models and quality standards
  • Build collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Conduct case file reviews and audits to support service improvement
  • Promote inclusive, culturally safe, and responsive service delivery

About You:

  • Tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology or related field (postgraduate qualifications and specialist training in Family Therapy desirable)
  • Extensive experience in child and family services, with strong knowledge of relevant legislation and policy
  • Demonstrated expertise in trauma-informed and therapeutic approaches
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to coach, mentor, and build the capacity of others
  • Full Victorian Driver’s Licence
