About the opportunity

We’re looking for two casual Freight Handlers to join our diverse and hard-working team at StarTrack Wingfield. With e-commerce booming, our freight handlers are the folks making sure consignments are correctly loaded so we can get deliveries out to our customers, fast.

Our casuals work upwards of 4 hours to 38 hours a week. Starting at 3am anytime from Monday to Friday (the full time shift is 3am - 11am), you'll have the benefit of earning an additional 30% uplift on top of your casual hourly rate of $40.83/hr inclusive of casual loading. Pay increases coming in September in accordance with the EBA requirement.

You’ll be

• Using your strong work ethic to help us keep delivering great service.
• Handloading parcels and cartons from conveyor belts into trucks, ready for our drivers to head out on the road.
• Unloading trucks when drivers get back to the warehouse.
• Wrapping freight by hand or using a shrink wrapper (you know - like the ones at the airport), electronically scanning parcels and updating documentation.

About you

• You’re fit and can lift up to 30kg repeatedly – we assess this at a pre-employment medical check to help make sure you’re safe on the job.
• You’re laser focused, even when the role gets repetitive
• You’re a team player, passionate about helping our team keep the community connected.
• If you’ve got a forklift licence that’s a plus, since this comes handy moving freight around the warehouse.
