Workplace Services Officer
  • Salary: $81,496 - $98,955 (Plus Superannuation)
  • Fixed term role: Until March 2027

The Role
This position will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of facilities, fleet, mail and safety-related services in a challenging and busy corporate environment. In this position you will be required to have a strong understanding and commitment to continuous improvement and customer service.
Main accountabilities:
  • Resolves local operational service delivery problems within guidelines
  • Assesses client needs and delivers a range of services in complex situations;
  • Explains concepts and policies to clients, stakeholders and staff
  • Monitors and administers straight forward, local contracts and service agreements within a well-defined service delivery framework
The Team
The position of Workplace Services Officer forms a part of the Information Technology & Workplace Services within the Corporate Services group.
The Corporate Services group consists of specialist functions including strategic communications, finance, investment and procurement, performance and governance, legal and legislation, people and culture, information technology and workplace services and the close out of activities related to the Commonwealth Games. Information Technology & Workplace Services (IT &WS) oversees the delivery of ICT and Office Accommodation-related investments and services to DJSIR.
About You
The successful candidate will ideally have the following skills and experience:
  • Systems Thinking: Assesses situations and identifies the best systems tools for analysing, understanding the system and addressing problems.
  • Critical Thinking and Problem Solving: Resolves issues through deep understanding and interpretation of existing guidelines. Where guidelines aren't available, analyses ideas available and takes action including in consultation with others to resolve problems.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Takes steps to add value for the client or stakeholder; Links people with other areas as appropriate; Monitors client and stakeholder satisfaction; Constructively deals with stakeholder issues.
