About the role
Join a 16 bed unit and support children from neonates to those 18 years of age. We care for young people admitted with a wide variety of presentations, ranging from surgial (general surgery, ENT, plastics, orthopaedics), to medical, including a speciality Eating Disorders unit. We provide a family-centred, holistic model of care and provide an environment where families are encourages to participate in patient care.
You will join a professional, multidisciplinary team who partner to provide exceptional care for our patients. With a strong commitment to research, learning and teaching, we offer professional development, leadership opportunities, and the space to grow your career. We strive to provide excellent care to all our patients and families regardless of background and have fun as we do so! All nursing staff work rotating rosters including AM, PM and night duty shifts, with the option of permanent night duty open for discussion.
About you
As a Paediatric Registered Nurse, your skills and experience will include:
Current, condition-free registration with AHPRA
Minimum 12 months experience in paediatric nursing (essential)
Strong commitment to providing excellent clinical care
Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, providing patient focused care
Active engagement in continued professional and career development

Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice).
