Full job description

Cafe and Restaurant Manager – Key Duties

  • overseeing daily operations of the cafe and ensuring efficient service delivery
  • managing staff rosters, supervision and performance
  • recruiting, training and onboarding staff members
  • monitoring labour costs and operational performance
  • maintaining customer service standards and resolving customer issues
  • managing stock control, ordering and supplier relationships
  • ensuring compliance with food safety, hygiene and workplace procedures
  • coordinating front of house and kitchen operations
  • assisting with budgeting, cost control and financial reporting
  • implementing and monitoring operational procedures and policies
  • assisting with marketing, promotions and business development initiatives
  • ensuring the venue is presented and maintained to company standards

Skills and Experience Required

  • Minimum 12 months' experience in a hospitality management or supervisory role.
  • Demonstrated experience managing staff, rostering and day-to-day venue operations.
  • Strong customer service, leadership and communication skills.
  • Experience with stock control, ordering and supplier management.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment and maintain high operational standards.

Pay: $75,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
