A family-owned business from humble beginnings, El Jannah thrives off plating up simple, soulful Lebanese-Australian food to its rapidly expanding cult-following. With such an exciting expansion phase, we’re on the hunt for a passionate, experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our EJ family.

The purpose (and flavour) of the role

Feel supported as you work closely with our Business Managers to deliver operating procedures, policies and the highest level of service (and delicious food) to our awesome customer base. EJ’s Manager will be responsible for maintaining the same high standard, knowledge and policies within current and upcoming stores. We want you to know what we do and how we do it, well. Our team becomes family, so we want you to feel confident to achieve our business goals, together.

Key EJ responsibilities

  • An iconic duo - working closely with the Business Managers on daily store operations
  • Bring a positive, welcoming vibe to the role
  • Ensure our awesome customers experience a consistent EJ experience. Our service (and delicious feast) always leave them satisfied
  • Drive and motivate the team. Everyone needs some hype. Bring it!
  • Strive to exceed KPI’s and store profitability
  • Staff training and coaching for on-going improvement and efficiency
  • Manage team rostering and financial targets within the business
  • Our customer’s become our extended family. Ensure Food Safety standards are always adhered to store-wide, so that they can trust we’ve got them
  • Pride yourself in your store’s excellent standard. Cleanliness of machines and equipment will bring efficiency to the functionality of your EJ
  • Customer and staff safety comes first, everytime. Always adhere to WHS
  • Be on top of stock level management. Having less Famous Garlic Sauce to pair with our Legendary Charcoal Chicken is just not a vibe.

Sound like you?

  • Instinctive leadership qualities to help nurture your team (AKA your work fam)
  • Completed (or willing to undertake) a Food Safety Supervisor course
  • Previous experience in a management role within the hospitality industry
  • Up for a challenge and is passionate about good, soulful food and customer journey
  • Good verbal and written English communication skills
  • Excellent people management skills and if conflict arises (because sometimes it does, we’re only human) be able to resolve it quickly and efficiently
  • A people person with an approachable personality. Bring that good vibe in-store!
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. You’ll be dealing with your customers on the daily. Show them how passionate you are about them, and our menu
  • A great attitude to willingly complete store tasks
  • Microsoft Office software wiz (Word, Excel and Outlook are another combo we like at EJ)
