Job Title: Cook Assistant - Entry-Level Position

About Us: Join the culinary team at Wharf One Food & Wine, located in the picturesque Darwin Waterfront Precinct with stunning views of Stokes Hill Wharf and the Darwin Harbour. We are currently seeking Cook / Kitchen Hand Assistants to join our kitchen and contribute to our commitment to providing exceptional food experiences.

Position Overview: You will be an integral part of our kitchen team, supporting in basic food preparation and cooking tasks. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals looking to gain experience in the culinary field and grow within a dynamic restaurant environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in food preparation and cooking under the guidance of experienced chefs.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen.
  • Follow recipes and guidelines for food production.
  • Support the kitchen team in day-to-day operations.

Requirements:

  • Basic cooking experience required; training will also be provided.
  • Basic understanding of kitchen hygiene and safety.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
  • Enthusiastic and willing to learn.

Wages: based on Restaurant Industry Award 2025 Standards

Employment opportunities commence on March - thru to July 2026.
