Reporting to the National Clinical Lead – Assessment Operations & Education Governance, you'll also:
- Provide quality assurance and governance oversight of RACGP assessments and examinations, including assessment development, delivery, exam review and public reporting.
- Contribute to the development, review and implementation of GP training policies, standards, curriculum and Fellowship requirements, and provide expert advice on their application in rural, remote and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health training contexts.
- Lead the review and determination of complex GP training, assessment and Fellowship matters, including ethical, professional conduct and academic issues, ensuring procedural fairness, consistency and academic integrity
- Demonstrate understanding of Rural Generalist training requirements, ARST pathways and rural workforce needs
- Represent the RACGP Rural Faculty and the Council of Censors on relevant committees, forums and external stakeholder groups, including ARST and conjoint examination committees.
- Assess and make recommendations on Fellowship applications, candidate suitability, appeals and progression matters, including applications involving professional conduct or medical registration concerns.
- Build and maintain influential relationships with Faculty leadership, the Censor-in-Chief, Regional Directors of Training, National Clinical Leads, assessment leaders and external stakeholders to support education, assessment and Fellowship outcomes
Skills & Experience
- FRACGP with specialist registration and strong knowledge of GP training and Fellowship pathways.
- Extensive experience in RACGP assessments, examinations and training program delivery.
- Strong policy, analytical and decision-making skills, with experience applying education standards.
- Excellent communication, governance and stakeholder skills, with confidence engaging senior committees.
- Demonstrated experience in academic governance, committee leadership and education quality assurance within a medical education environment
