About the role

As our business continues to expand, we are seeking an experienced Sales and Marketing Manager to lead the company's sales, business development and marketing functions. This is a newly established full-time permanent management position reporting directly to senior management and will play a key role in driving business growth, strengthening the company's market presence, and developing long-term relationships with government, commercial and institutional clients

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the company's sales and marketing strategies to achieve sustainable business growth and increase market share.
  • Identify new business opportunities, analyse market trends and competitor activities, and develop strategic growth initiatives.
  • Lead the company's business development activities by establishing and maintaining relationships with government agencies, developers, consultants, contractors and key industry stakeholders.
  • Oversee the preparation of marketing strategies, promotional campaigns and brand positioning to enhance the company's profile within the construction and project management sectors.
  • Direct the development and implementation of client relationship management strategies to strengthen customer retention and generate repeat business.
  • Work closely with senior management to identify and pursue major project opportunities, including government and private sector procurement and tender opportunities.
  • Prepare sales forecasts, marketing budgets, business performance reports and strategic recommendations for senior management.
  • Lead, mentor and manage sales and marketing personnel to achieve business objectives and maintain high performance standards.
  • Represent the company at industry events, networking functions and stakeholder meetings to promote the company's services and establish strategic partnerships.

Selection criteria:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Business, Marketing, Management, Commerce or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in a senior sales and marketing management role with responsibility for developing and implementing strategic business growth initiatives.
  • Proven ability to develop commercial opportunities and build strong relationships with government agencies, commercial clients, developers and key industry stakeholders.
  • Strong strategic planning, leadership, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience preparing sales forecasts, marketing plans and business performance reports.
  • Previous experience within the building, construction, engineering or project management industry will be highly regarded; applicants with transferable senior sales and marketing management experience from other industries are also encouraged to apply.

Salary: $130,000 per annum (base), plus superannuation
