School Holiday Workshop Hosts Needed (Murder Mystery Style)

A fun, flexible gig for these school holidays - no experience needed, just good energy

AmazingCo creates and delivers real-world experiences across Australia and around the world - kids' parties, wine tours, corporate team days, mystery picnics. Our mission is to help people live more fulfilling lives, and these workshops are exactly that for the kids who come along.

You'll guide small groups of kids through a pre-set murder mystery style activity, playing it up with a bit of theatrical flair to keep the whole thing feeling exciting.

What you'll actually be doing

• Lead kids through a pre-set mystery booklet, staying a step ahead of the story
• Bring a bit of theatre to your delivery - the more fun you make it, the more they'll lean in
• Run games and guide the kids through "analysing evidence" as part of the activity
• Set up and pack down before and after each session
• Keep the energy friendly, positive, and high from the moment you arrive to the moment you leave

What we're looking for

You don't need experience - you need personality and a bit of initiative!
We'll provide comprehensive training on the activity - what you need is natural charisma and a genuine love of making kids smile.

That might look like:

• You're a uni student, actor, or performer looking for premium contract work that fits around your timetable or auditions
• You're a natural entertainer who is always the "life of the party" and loves public speaking or hosting crowds
• You've worked in hospitality, retail, or customer-facing roles and pride yourself on your stellar people skills
• You have coaching/tutoring experience and know how to lead kids through a game or hands-on activity
• You've worked in childcare and know exactly how to hold the attention of a room full of kids!

Beyond that, we're after someone reliable and organised who can lead and assist a group, and who can travel to a variety of venues in the Brisbane metro area.

When you'll work

• Dates:
  Week 1: Tuesday 22 September, Wednesday 23 September, Thursday 24 September,
  Week 2: Tuesday 29 September, Wednesday 30 September, Thursday 8 October
• Sessions run either mornings (between 9am-1pm) or afternoons (between 1pm-5pm)
• Each session is 90 minutes, and generally run as a 2-4 hour shift covering two sessions back to back
• Pay is $100 for the first hour, then $30 per hour after that
• We're also keen to send hosts to regional areas outside Brisbane - all travel time, flights, accommodation and expenses reimbursed if that's you!

Requirements

• Valid Working With Children Check, or willingness to obtain one ASAP
• Car to travel to venues preferred, otherwise a willingness to travel
• Willingness to travel to regional areas a bonus
