This is a progressional position as per the Role Description. The successful applicant will be appointed to the lower classification with eligibility for progression to the next, once specific criteria have been met or demonstrated. Please note salary rate shown is reflective of both classification ranges.

The ICT team plays a critical role in supporting contemporary teaching and learning through reliable technology services and responsive support.
This role offers the opportunity to work within a large, fast-paced educational setting where no two days are the same.
The successful applicant will engage with a broad range of technologies and stakeholders while contributing to innovative practices that enhance learning outcomes across the college.
Key Responsibilities of the Role:
Provide responsive day-to-day ICT support to staff and students across the college.
Maintain and troubleshoot devices, peripherals, classroom technologies, and network-connected systems.
Support the deployment, configuration, and lifecycle management of ICT hardware and software.
Assist with user account administration, printing services, AV equipment, and departmental applications.
Contribute to the maintenance of secure, reliable, and effective ICT environments that support teaching and learning.
Work collaboratively with teaching staff, leadership teams, regional ICT support, and external vendors to resolve technical issues and implement solutions.
Maintain accurate records relating to assets, repairs, support requests, and system updates.
Support the implementation of departmental ICT initiatives and emerging technologies within the school environment.
Provide professional customer service and technical guidance to users with varying levels of ICT capability.
Must-Have Skills and Experience:
Demonstrated experience providing ICT support in a busy operational environment.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across hardware, software, and end-user support.
Experience supporting Windows devices, Microsoft 365 applications, and networked environments.
Ability to prioritise competing tasks and respond effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to provide professional customer service to staff and students.
Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team culture.
High level of organisational skills and attention to detail.
Commitment to confidentiality, professionalism, and workplace health and safety requirements.
Nice-to-Have Skills and Experience:
Previous experience working in an educational or school-based ICT environment.
Familiarity with Education Queensland systems, policies, and ICT platforms.
Experience with Intune, device imaging, BYOx environments, interactive classroom technologies, or AV systems.
Knowledge of networking concepts, wireless environments, and printer management.
Experience with asset management and ticketing systems.
Relevant ICT qualifications or industry certifications.
