Full job description

Working closely with the Supervising Scientist, you will contribute to continuous service improvement by providing advanced instrumentation troubleshooting, monitoring quality systems, supporting staff development, and promoting best practice across the laboratory.

Key competencies (role specific criteria)

You will be assessed on your ability to demonstrate the following:

Demonstrated high level of knowledge and skills in the performance of Chemical Pathology investigations in a clinical pathology laboratory.
Proven ability to solve complex problems in the workplace.
A history of high-level communication skills and demonstrated ability to maintain professional and productive relationships internal and external to the workplace.
A history of active process improvement.
A developed understanding of laboratory quality systems and the requirements of NATA accreditation and ISO certification.
Awareness of the human resource management policies applicable to contemporary workplaces.
Demonstrated clinical leadership ability and contribution to the professional development of others.
