Exciting opportunity for a Senior Social Worker with extensive mental health experience for a leadership role
Fixed term opportunity for 12 months
Part-time 15.2 hours per week, working Mondays and Thursdays

About the Mental Health Division
The Mental Health Division provides care and services through a comprehensive range of teams to meet the needs of mental health consumers and carers throughout Victoria. Services are located across Austin Health campuses and in the community.
About the role
The role sits across the Division comprising an ICYMHS, Adult and Older Adult MH Service and Speciality Services and sits on the Mental Health Executive Leadership team to provide professional governance to our SW workforce.
The Discipline Senior Mental Health Social Worker holds a formal leadership role and therefore has the accountability to inspire a shared vision, model a values-based approach and create a culture in which new ways of working are encouraged and enabled.
About you
This is an amazing opportunity for someone with substantial and relevant clinical experience in mental health and high quality leadership ability. We are looking for someone with great people skills, extensive supervision experience and capacity to foster ongoing professional development and standards of care.
To be successful in this role you’ll bring with you:
An approved degree in Social Work (Bachelor of Social Work; Master of Social Work), with eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.
A minimum of 7 years working as a social worker in public mental health, with specific experience in social work leadership roles.
A Masters Degree or higher in Social Work (not base entry-level) or relevant other field, such as public health, mental health, health administration, etc.
A current Victorian Driver’s License (without restrictions), and ability to drive a work vehicle.
A current Working with Children’s Check (without restrictions).
