About this role:

Direct Focus Solutions (DFS) is looking to recruit a disability and community support worker to deliver overnight personal care supports within Wollongong and the Illawarra. This role requires the ability to attend flexible shifts in accordance with the client’s needs. This may include working on weekdays and weekends, and attending overnight/sleepover shifts whenever required for clients with high support needs.

In this role, you will work closely with your support work team manager, colleagues, and members of our multidisciplinary clinical team to help support a diverse range of people within their homes and communities. Candidates with experience in disability and community support work, personal care, or nursing, are highly encouraged to apply. This role will prioritise candidates who are able to attend a wide variety of shifts across weekdays and weekends, particularly overnight/sleepover shifts.

Requirements:

Our ideal candidates will possess:

• Personal Care, Disability, Community Services, or Aged Care qualifications and/or experience.
• The ability to reliably commute to, and work within, Wollongong and the Illawarra.
• Knowledge of personal care supports, manual handling, and the safe delivery of medication.
• Experience with NDIS programs and participants.
• The ability to attend shifts on weekdays and weekends, and the capacity to perform overnight/sleepover shifts where required.
• Experience working with complex clients.
• Computer literacy to interact successfully with our client management system.
• A driver’s license and have reliable access to a vehicle prior to employment.

• Working With Children Check (WWCC)
• NDIS Worker’s Check (NDISWC)
• Police Check
