The Role

We have an exciting temporary full-time Facilities Officer position available until 15 January 2027 (unless otherwise determined) to join our Facilities and Infrastructure team at TAFE Queensland's South Bank Campus.

As a Facilities Officer, you will:
Contribute to the delivery of operational services through the provision of customer focused, timely, accurate and effective administrative support services across South Bank campus and Public Private Partnership (PPP) deed.
Provide daily and ongoing administrative support to the Facilities, Infrastructure and Safety team.

This position reports to the Senior Operations Officer

Salary

The salary range for a Facilities Officer is $78,541.80 - $87,148.65 (gross) per annum plus superannuation contributions of 12.75% of your salary.

Key responsibilities

Contribute to the success of transformation and cultural change through promoting and modelling the established values of Safety First, Working Together, Focusing on our Customer, Taking Responsibility and Showing Initiative.
Contribute to providing continuous excellence in the delivery of Customer Service by participating in activities including but not limited to application processing, telephone enquiries, webchat processing and enrolments processing.
Provide professional, efficient and timely customer service to external and internal stakeholders, coordinate outcomes and respond appropriately to verbal and written enquiries. Escalate issues as required.
Support the Senior Operations Officer to provide administration and project support for Public Private Partnership (PPP) operations for the delivery of planned and ad hoc stakeholder requests across South Bank campus.
Maintain accurate records of equipment and maintenance activities, including equipment ownership, service schedules, reported issues, and condition assessments, to support operational efficiency and compliance and assist with relocation of resources across TQB campuses.
Analyse data and collate information to create a management plan relating to the provision of asset maintenance services and asset lifecycle for South Bank Campus.
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders including contractors and external suppliers and regional staff to coordinate maintenance and servicing activities including scheduling, contractor induction and ensuring adherence to safety and procedural requirements.
Contribute to the review of systems, policies, procedures, workflows and forms, to continuously improve processes, encourage initiative and effective solutions in South Bank campus operational support and to ensure alignment and compliance with TAFE Queensland policies and procedures.
Provide support in the operations of the delivery dock during periods of leave or as assistance is required.
Undertake other work as directed by Senior Operations Officer.

Demonstrated commitment to the values of the organisation through modelling behaviours and the provision of outstanding client service.

Highly Desirable

Candidates who possess the following will be highly regarded:
Electrical test and tag qualification and license, or a willingness to obtain one.
Possession of a C Class driver's license.
Possession of a forklift license or willingness to attain one.
