About the role
We have an opportunity for a Manager, Services and Support to be part of our Criminal Records, Forensic Evidence & Technical Services Command. The Manager, Services and Support coordinates business teams within the Command to deliver a range of support services to contribute to business management, administration and planning.
The NSWPF, Criminal Records consists of two service areas and 105 staff delivering critical services to operational police, the justice system, key stakeholders and the community. Operating within strict state and national turnaround timeframes, the area plays a vital role in ensuring the integrity, accuracy and timely delivery of criminal record information.
As the Manager, Services & Support, you will lead a large and diverse workforce in a high-volume environment.
In this leadership role, you will drive service excellence, champion continuous improvement, ensure compliance with legislative and policy requirements, and provide strategic advice to support informed decision making.
We are seeking an influential leader with strong people management skills, sound judgement and excellent communication abilities, along with a proven ability to manage competing priorities and deliver measurable business outcomes.

The Criminal Records area comprises of 105 positions across two service areas and operates in a high volume environment where meeting state & national turnaround times are essential. This role requires an experienced leader who can inspire and motivate a diverse workforce, effectively manage competing priorities, optimise resources, and drive the delivery of quality business outcomes. Describe a situation where you led a team through competing priorities or significant workload pressures. How did you allocate resources, support your staff and ensure business outcomes were achieved?

Provide an example of a business improvement or compliance initiative you led. How did you identify the issue, engage stakeholders, implement solutions and measure success?
